Best Anti virus and Fire Wall

I uninstalled NIS along with NORTON SYSTEM WORKS without any trouble and all of it is nowhere to be found on my compuer..... I installed Kaspersky AV and personal firewall and let me just say that when i believed that i had a virus clean computer with NAV guess again i didn't..... I had 24 virus infections and a few trojans Wow i was impressed and realized how bad Norton is'

Honesty you would be doing yourself a favor if you don't..... i had NAV and AVG Pro and those are just not  worth installing.... thats what i thought about norton when i compared it to AVG..... Heres why' when AVG failed to pick up and delete about 18 virus infections NAV did and deleted them.... Then when i thought Norton was great Here comes KASPERSKY na d found and destroyed 24 virus infections that norton failed to find and delete....

i've tried the beta of kaspersky already..

avg always kept me safe and clear. along with my microsoft anti-spyware. spybot, ad aware, spywareblaster and the only firewall i use is the hardware firewall in my router.

all i know is that AVG did me wrong without knowing it... i always trusted avg cause alot of people recomended that program to me..... but

well i cant say AVG is all bad but it did fail on me.... well when mine expires all i have to do is either pay or clear my files and registry and install it again.... it will give me another four months.

i mean i liked the beta of KIS/KAV... all i did was take the port scan it does on port 80. and then everything started to run much smoother. because before doing that when i was taking speed tests i was way way below my normal connection.. then once i removed the scan on that port. it was perfect.

Kaspersky Internet Security has one built in. I'd be lying if I told you it was the best because I wouldn't know as I don't use it alone. My main popup blocker is PopUpCop and it's always running (nothing has been better for me

The only problem i have with KIS is that it keep telling me anti hacker not running :whaa:

Thanx to both of you for your help!! I realy appreciate it... Wow im amazed with this program' when i had Norton systemworks the total processes running was 45 with spysweeper too. now that spysweeper is disabled and Kaspersky is running only 24 processes are running now... thats a big difference...

top test was before i unchecked port 80  & The test below was after i unchecked it..... btw my firewall is enabled and im connected to a router'

Thanx that helped alot..... now the only thing going on is that sometimes my browser goes wild.... i have to reboot browser and its gone back to normal.

EDIT Im getting tired of whatever im browsing getting messed up.... ever since i installed Kaspersky i been having this problem' it must be a beta bug 'lol'  my system is virus free....

I have been using F-Secure and have had no problem if you are a charter customer with the 3meg package its free

Used norton for awhile and hated it even after I uninstalled it I had to use a command promt window to remove crap it left behind.

AVG Free version seems to work ok and sygate works well also but I personaly like F-Secure the best.
