On 6meg, never get above 4.5

Hello guys, new to the forum but wanted to see if you guys could help to get my speed running the way it should  :D

I speed test all the time, recently i used dslreports.com to tweak my settings and i went from never getting more than 2meg to getting around 4, but im still not getting the 6meg im supposed to. Any ideas?

I am using a Linksys BEFCMU10 V.2, I actually have a new Motorola SB5120 sitting around in its box if that ones better  :D

BTW that 4.5meg is the highest I've EVER gotten...

This was my speed as of two sec ago

No Help? When i say never above 4.5, i mean its usually more like 2 to 3 megs....a lot of times not above 2, please someone this is really annoying

Here are my cable modem stats for the Linksys BEFCMU10 V2:

Downstream Power  -3.82 dBmV  -  Max Bit Rate 6600000 bps

SNR 35 dB

Upstream Power 41.00 dBmV  -    Max Bit Rate 384000 bps

Lock Status  Locked

Well i swapped out modem with a Motorola SB 5120 and automatically got:

Download Speed is:: 872 kB/s

Bottom Line:: 128X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.17 sec

Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 67.2 % faster than the average for host (comcast.net)
