reno Posted September 18, 2005 CID Share Posted September 18, 2005 For stuff like that I used to use StyleXP. But I kinda noticed it slowed my compute down but that might have been just me With styleXP you can change every look on your computer. Swimmer Posted September 18, 2005 CID Share Posted September 18, 2005 you dont need a program.. you can do it manually.. doesnt affect boot time at all.. http://www.overclockersclub.com/guides/hackxpbootscreen.php

organ_shifter Posted September 18, 2005 CID Share Posted September 18, 2005 amc11890 is correct. I went and got BootSkin from Stardock. Here: Bootskin It's free. After that, I download as many as I wanted from here: Wincustomize I have the program setup to change on every reboot. It looks awesome, and there isn't any slow down to speak of. What I've attached is a pic of the program itself, an example skin, and a .rar file which contains several good skins to use.

tbaker397 Posted September 18, 2005 CID Share Posted September 18, 2005 I use StyleXP and really only lost 10-15 seconds on boot time. Maybe less. And as for the customization of everything, i love it! All my friends when they see me turn my computer on and everything is Xbox 360'd they're like Woah! How'd you do that. Yes, the program itself will allow you to create a bootscreen out of your own pics.
