raptors892004 Posted October 2, 2005 CID Share Posted October 2, 2005 Do any of you guys know any good non-spyware and non-virus attached websites that offer free downloads of ".theme" files? I don't want to use any of the paid programs, mainly cuz they take up part of my system's memory and because I gotta run them every time i wanna see the theme.. Thanks in advance
cool_beans Posted October 2, 2005 CID Share Posted October 2, 2005 http://www.alienware.com/Standalone_Pages/alienguise.aspx ^AlienGUise is a theme manager for the 3 Alienware custom themes... which i think are free... i know one of them is anyway. But i never figured out how to get the other ones on. lol i loved it and used it for a long time till i had to get rid of it cause the new Yahoo! Messanger doesnt seem to work with it.... Well there you go lol. Cool Beans.
toad56 Posted October 2, 2005 CID Share Posted October 2, 2005 I think your best bet would be window blinds......it uses 2,240k on my system...barely notice it.
netmasta Posted October 2, 2005 CID Share Posted October 2, 2005 http://www.themeworld.com/ has a lot of themes. From my experiance, not all themes will work in XP.
Dilatedpeoples28 Posted October 2, 2005 CID Share Posted October 2, 2005 AlienGUise is free and it uses Windows blinds which does use a tiny amount of ur resources. Nothing noticable. I use Windows blinds and very happy with it, on their website u cna download hundreds of free themes. If you dont mind it uses a little of ur resources i do recommend Windows blinds. raptors892004 Posted October 3, 2005 Author CID Share Posted October 3, 2005 its pretty nice, yea, but in windows explorer, the side panel is white, which blinded me as well. Good theme, but if i could find the part in the styles file that states the color for that side panel of windows explorer, it would be even better

monsnet2k8 Posted October 28, 2005 CID Share Posted October 28, 2005 How do you intstall it? you download Pack_Vista_Inspirat_1.1 from link and install where it tells you' it installs to your windows folder c/windows/BricoPacks and when you are going to add additional png icons for the dock you have to go to c/windows/BricoPacks/vista/your choice of folder' its better if you add folders as they come or make ur custom folder of favorite icons' on desktop just drag in shorcuts and change the icon to a png vista icon' it takes some time to get it the way you want it...
