raptors892004 Posted October 7, 2005 CID Share Posted October 7, 2005 I just wondered if this is fixable.. I have FF 1.0.7 and whenever i open a new tab, ff switches automatically to it.. How do i make it open the new tab, but also stay in the current one (keep the focus on the current one)? Thanks for any replies
tonyswhirl Posted October 7, 2005 CID Share Posted October 7, 2005 go to tools - options - tabbed browsing - want you want to do is possible and makes browsing more enjoyable because you can just center click and read at your liesure as the focus does not change - you can also put the tabs on the bottom which I think is nicer - also you can download a lot of tabbed browsing extensions which do almost anything you can imagine. jags4560 Posted October 7, 2005 CID Share Posted October 7, 2005 There's an extension called Tabbrowser Preferences, it will let you move the tabs to the bottom and make a few other changes with the tabs.
monsnet2k8 Posted October 7, 2005 CID Share Posted October 7, 2005 Dont forget about the extensions and the plugins' if you want things to work properly' on FF
raptors892004 Posted October 7, 2005 Author CID Share Posted October 7, 2005 Dont forget about the extensions and the plugins' if you want things to work properly' on FF IE has lots of plugins which are required to make it work properly too, so don't say its got everything.. Everything comes with nothing when u install it
resopalrabotnick Posted October 7, 2005 CID Share Posted October 7, 2005 huh? what plugins or extensions do i need for ie? if you are talking about the shockwave, quicktime etc. stuff that is simply because it's a proprietary format and ms does not have the license to distribute it. Later on u get a popup blocker, password manager, etc for IE, so don't tell me u dont have to install things in IE

raptors892004 Posted October 7, 2005 Author CID Share Posted October 7, 2005 FF does not need windows upgrades.. It has automatic upgrades for itself, but they can just be turned off or on (no time period (1-2 days check)) .. its still good
netmasta Posted October 7, 2005 CID Share Posted October 7, 2005 You should still leave Windows update on. Not all the updates are IE related.
