supersteven Posted October 13, 2005 CID Share Posted October 13, 2005 I recently reformatted my computer and for some reason it is running real slow. The actual speeds seem ok- download speed of 547 kb/s and upload of 66 kb/s but it is extremely slow surfing the internet. I am running 2 computers off a router and the other one runs fine. It was fast before, fast at my friends house(Where we reformatted it), but it is slow now. My setup(Router, modem etc) has not changed at all. Oh and my isp is cox.net

Computer 1 and 2 are on a wireless conection and number 3 is directly connected to my wireless router. Funny enough computer one should be the fastest (its newer with a better OS), its running windows XP media edition while the other two are windows 2000. Any help is appreciated. Just for some background I know enough about computers to get me in trouble, lol. I set this up by reading the directions, it wasn't hard.
