AgentGOD Posted October 31, 2005 CID Share Posted October 31, 2005 My LAN is connected at 100 Mbps, and my NIC is capable of 1.0 Gbps (Gigabit ethernet). It looks like my internet is roughly at ~10 Mbps according to speed test results.

raptors892004 Posted October 31, 2005 CID Share Posted October 31, 2005 what's the difference between all the duplex modes btw?
RTB Posted October 31, 2005 CID Share Posted October 31, 2005 Note that faster doesn't equal more accurate and that there's always the issue of routing and distance. This is why individual tests may be more accurate than testmy.net, but it's certainly not that common. It can still be said that testmy.net has the most accurate results on average, or else CA3LE would be back to working on them. raptors892004: Full Duplex: Data can be sent and received at the same time Half-duplex: You can only send or receive, not both at the same time. What about automatic then? When its only upload or download, its half-duplex and when its download+upload, full duplex mode?
