Bottom Line:: 13X faster than 56K 1MB download in 11.38 sec

Windows XP home SP2

This is the download speed that I currently have which is only 17% of my hosts average.

I really need some help fixing this download problem, I don't know if it's a problem with my location, but as of right now I highly doubt it.  If anyone has any information on how to quicken things up a bit please let me know.

By the way... I am pretty computer illiterate with computers so if you do have any advice, please make it easy to understand. Thanks alot

thanks for the tips, i'll try them out tomorrow and see if there's any change. i called tech support for verizon, which proved to be a waste of 20 minutes.  they said i'm using a 768 so yeah... i'm completely computer illiterate when it comes to internet tweaking can someone explain to me how to use what ever rammolo posted?

If your advertised package speed is 768 dsl, I think that's as far as your speeds could go.
