junkieXL Posted November 28, 2005 CID Share Posted November 28, 2005 get a set of startup disks for whichever OS you have [assuming you have a floppy drive, if not-get an external floppy drive], to get past the blank desktop & do a 'restore system' or 'use last known good config' options....if all fails,do what i do & take the easy road----> fdisk c:/ ;) -JxL
organ_shifter Posted November 28, 2005 CID Share Posted November 28, 2005 Is the recover disc all you have? If so, try loading up through safe-mode w/networking, download an antivirus program, and scan your system. Hopefully the program will install under safe-mode without you getting an error regarding the installer not being able to start.
