Choppy download

I guess this should be directed twards vanburen..

My downloads, on speed tests mainly go from 0 kb/s {insert burst here } -> to about 785 kb/s then automaticaly drop to 50 -> 100 kb/s , then bursts back to about 533 kb/s then back down and up. etc.

Is this normal? This has been going on for a while, but... my test results are realy inconsistant now.. one minute ill be on a 3.3mb/s connection.. the next on a 2.9 then a 3.1 lol. These inconsistant results are from this chop, i know it, Is their any way to stabalize this ? :?

try a lower RWIN, miltiple with your MSS.

with MSS 1460 i suggest these values

64240 set Tcp13230pts to 0

or

128480 set Tcp13230pts to 1

you probl get packetloss, and when you do on that high RWIN you have you will loose alot of speed.

Try this it might help

VanBuren :)
