SatNoob Posted December 13, 2005 CID Share Posted December 13, 2005 I was getting about 1200/480.. After some tweaking with cable loss issues (replaced LMR400 with LMR600) and adjusting the aim of my antenna im now getting: For living in the middle of absolutely no where and pinging sub 20ms to basically every east/midwest gaming servers and sub 50ms to the west coast I cannot be happier especially for $39 a month and no bandwidth limit

dlewis23 Posted December 13, 2005 CID Share Posted December 13, 2005 thats more like a 1.5/1mb connection rather then 1mb/400kb connection.

SatNoob Posted December 13, 2005 Author CID Share Posted December 13, 2005 The actual package I pay for states " Up to 1mb Down, up to 256kb Up". My installation was a new step for them a long line of site application from tower to tower so he said he'd give me a full time 1mb/400 connection. I've always had much higher than that, and after my tweaking my setup this is what I get... They are only at 20% capacity of their backbones/networks capability at peak hours also, so I don't see these speeds changing for a long long time

SatNoob Posted December 17, 2005 Author CID Share Posted December 17, 2005 Hmmm looks cached to me. Considering the highest packages are the business at 1.5mb/1.5mb and the radios can only handle 3mb of throughput?
Sigss Posted December 17, 2005 CID Share Posted December 17, 2005 My friend is a tech at the company and installed my wireless. I can tell you this is not cached, if it was cached I would hope for a lot higher than the posted speeds above.

gotmilk Posted December 18, 2005 CID Share Posted December 18, 2005 Guys, a cached test would give him a higher reading than that, I strongly doubt it's a cached test. Maybe they have another package they don't show on their website, or maybe they've upgraded and haven't change the website yet, I know that's what's happened with my ISP. amc11890 Posted December 18, 2005 CID Share Posted December 18, 2005 yeah if that was cached then those speeds would be way more than that
Sigss Posted December 18, 2005 CID Share Posted December 18, 2005 The website has not been updated for awhile. As far as my speeds being above what they offer , I'm not calling to ask why. My friend is a tech there and installed my package plus they have recently upgraded the radios on the antenna and placing a canopy on the tower. If your getting more than what they offer why complain? I can asure you that these tests are not cached, it would look more like this. :::..
