yeah... never understood why they called it "56k" cause it never ran at 56k... when i had Dial up i always had like 21k speeds.

Yeah, i remeber seeing a thread on here about tweaking firefox. if i remeber you typed something in the broswer it brought up Firefox commands and you just put acouple of the options from True to false. and it speeded up ur firefox. can't find the thread though. sorry

Hello i play a game called "Rune" and i ussaly have 70 ping in my server. well today i did and all of the sudden my ping went up to 150-190... iit will stay at about 80 somethings then it will spike up to about 150-190 again. and it keeps doing it. its just wierd all of a sudden this starts. does anyone know what i can do to make my pings better. i have 3000/300 cable. my internet is fine it just seems like my Pings suck all of a sudden.

hey guys. i saw dirty Steve post. but i thought it would be ok to post another sinse his Cable was faster then mine. didnt think it would be safe to use what he used. someone told him to use the Cable nut 5000. 384 seems like that would be 5000/384 speed. i tryed it and then unstalled it. because it didn't help me at all. so unstalled it to be safe. my problem is i have Cable one 3000/300 and want my upload speed to be alittle faster and download alittle faster too if i can... but not exactly sure what to do anymore. no... i dont know if Cableone is having problems because i ussaly have atleast 2.7meg Down and 281 Upload... so its probally just cause its during prime time. i dont know never had this low of a download.

hmm, how many times did you test the speeds? upload speed could of been faster for acouple minutes. havn't never seen Wireless that slow. lol

took me awhile to close it. had to do alt. ctl and delete and turn it off lol.

Most people get ISDN for Small office. or if they live out in the boonies and cant get nothing but Salelite or ISDN. *No Cable or DSL* when i last checked it cost 200 bucks for them to run the line for you. then you pay them 65 bucks a month for the line. and 9.99-19.99 for ISP. it can be quite pricey.
