  1. ;) I'm on a 4000/512 package but had these scores on the 3000/256 the only one that changed was my upload speed. I actually think my download may even be a little slower....dont get me wrong I'm real happy with my connection,it may just be that after 2years there is more traffic in my area....and I do not us any tweak pkg the only change I made is to rwin and its set at 64240for instance if I use TCP OPT or any testing tool it suggest that I change my RWIN to at least 256xxx, and higher I have used this setting for at least 2years......no other tweaks seem to have any effect on speed but cablenut slows down my browsing ....ya know how fast pages load etc.... :)

  3. ;) I have used many I own a McAffee AV right now but I'm using the free ZA which works fine 4me....BTW I uninstalled McAFlea because it slowed down my speed by 1000Kbps and Tech Support couldn't fix it and their final suggestion was what was more important 2me speed or safety.....I didn't waste my time answering, I always thought if you were a paying customer you could have both but I guess I was wrong.... :(

  4. ;)  When I was running Win 98se from this location 2 years ago 98se ran alot faster than XP now does....the main problem was that it crashed and locked up frequently.... :( but when it was running good it was fast, also of course 98se doesn't have near the features that XP has and I'm very happy with XP and wouldn't go back to 98se for any speed..... 5. Unless you live in a city with over like 50,000 people all using that same ISP , at the same time i doubt youll notice a difference in "shared cable speed " Iv never seen a drop unless it was a technical issue.

Yep there would have to be a lot of traffic all at the same exact time, there is a formula that the government has that they must comply with...phone svc is the same way, and I only saw one time in Tucson when ya couldn't call for a while it was some years back when Garth Brooks was coming to a concert and everyone was calling for tickets and it disrupted phone svc for a few hours...... not Mother's day or Farther's day or Christmas.....but "Garth Brooks" day ....OMG ...go figure...

  7. A reset did lower your time on the first four hops quite a bit.... I'm sorry I'm not at all familiar with your connection type...it does appear that the times are very high.... I suggest that you call your ISP and see if they can help Im guessing but it looks like the problem may be their....where did you get the info to set up your connection in the first place? I also will send a msg to VanBuren and see if he is at all familiar with your kind of connection, he is very good at tweaking and CableNut settings......Did you also try TCP Optimizer if I remember right they have a setting for a similar connection to yours. IMO your RWIN is very high.....but again Im guessing because its an unknown setup to me....good luck and stop back by if its possible we will try and find info on what you have.... :)
