Getting host in halo 2 has nothing to do with your speed. I had a connection issue one day, so I came here and did an upload test. My upload was so slow it wouldn't even complete the smallest test, after like 5 minutes. But I got host in halo 2, 3 games straight and everyone had full red ping. The games were unplayable.

What problems are you having with Live, I have had a few myself. I might just have the solution for you.
