I still kind of think that you're speeds may not be totally accurate. Maybe you could take the 5mb test, but I don't know where to find it.

I used to get around 140kB/s on my other computer with the 6000, but when I took the 5mb test, I got a little under the speeds I'm getting now.

The main reason people upgraded was because they wanted faster upload speeds...

Not sure where to find T1 forum, suppose I just found it. How do you like it, dreaded Dway user, here. Noticed equal uploads to downloads. Nice but don't personally use uploads much. How is it as far as heavy times of day(prime time). Slow down much? Say a test during evening about 6PM and a test during a less conjested time of day. I don't get good browsing speed except after about 9:30 PM. Trying to decide to eliminate Dway when contract is up. Do you have the full T1, I assume you do . Thanks.

You know they are all saying that 6000 speeds stink but as far as all the trouble they are having with their 7000's I have not seen enough reason to spend money on changing over. And they are on the 7000 pro accounts. I always want to go go go faster but somethings are not worth paying too much extra. Not enough bang for buck. They say I get speeds they could never get on their old 6000's.

You would be easier to find on your posts and look a little more outstanding if you added an avatar to your profile. And if you add a little computer information to your signature, you would have a lot less questions asked during replies back to you. Just thought it my help. ;)

You know I  keep hearing about the 6000 being poor but some of us are still doing fine except for uploads which I only use  for email and speed tests. Not sure if all the trouble you other fella's are having with the 7000 would be worth us switching, paying extra, and ending up with another 15 month contract. Maybe time will tell.

By the way is this not a bad time of day to test, it seems a little slower?

If you have kids like I do CRT is the only way to go (maybe not for gaming) but I don't have to worry about them sticking an ink pen into the screen. So I have a 19' and it was relatively much less expensive$$$ Just scooted desk away from wall another 6'. Great for me!! :D

What time of day, and what type of computer, maybe a speed test result.

I only have Rev's settings and T6522 emachines, Dway 6000, Consumer Account.

You could probably run a little faster.

I actually use this devotedly. Works well for me, now if I could replace Dway with something a little faster 5 miles from cable.

Have you ran the tcp optimizer, and cable nut?  Also make sure you connect to the proxy and get rid of viruses, ad ware, spyware and all that stuff.  If you can, windows update I think helps, (getting sp2).  Other than that, try clearing your history/cache and cookies...Also (for me at least) Firefox tends to give me about half the download speed than IE.  I'm on IA8 89 W 1150

Might try a larger file, will show true results. Looks normal speed but might still be slow. Try 2992 file download.
