  the best i ever had with consistent speeds and pings.  i cant remember when it even went down or had a problem.

the 5100 is capable of the same speeds as the 5120 i am told and i had both with the same results

its the exact opposite for me cause i can only get optimum online for cable.

goto the link i made and click find your cable company,  i tried optimum online and it says not available but a bunch of other cable providers might be available.  hope this helps

yea but hey its just a question he had and scruff why do you use aim to transfer files instead of windows or some ftp program.

its 2 mb over cap but i saw a few people hit that before with comcast even tho that seems impossible.  is there a 10 mb plan we dont know about?

no those are the boost package speeds the new speeds are 2 up 15 down

where do you live? 

some modems can only do so much speed and need to be newer for it to work but i think they will see the usage go up and see its not supposed to be there

my cable isp has docsis 2.0 which i am pretty sure that wont work on it.

i am getting the 30 mb plan as soon as they come and its tuesday if i'm not working but my speeds on the 2 mb upload and 15 download are in my sig below.  there is times where it is a bit less but its the best for the buck and pay the $35 for the pro install so if it doesnt go right you wont get charged. also when you get it make sure they test it and your getting close to your speeds before they leave and they can give you the newest modem and if they have to run a new line for the modem only

Blunted 2, my opinion is this:  the program is being targetted by activity that you don't want (you blocked it, didn't you?), so remove it and get another one that's probably better anyway.

my virus scanner scans it when its done downloading

its freeware for 30 days and i just re-installed it a few weeks ago when i installed xp pro and i do have another file that makes it

he wont be able to do it i bet cause its capped on the providers end most likely

the reason i like it is cause with the firewall i can click on it and run a who is from my comp and not have to goto a site.  its way faster

but this comp is crap and nothing personal is on it or any important passwords.  this is just browsing and messing around with new software.  as far as i know its being blocked cause this firewall asks you for anything to start or modify something or connect to you. 

i also dont want anything to do anything unless i say and these pics prove it.

Yes as i have mine enabled to monitor my hub, switches and computers and how much they use.  1 more thing is your most likely capped on there end not yours so have fun trying to un-cap it and if you do have fun paying the fine when you get caught and your internet takin away.
