A co-worker is trying to get a computer so he can supposedly try and make and edit music I think... For a Budget around 400 to 500, what would you recommend Motherboard and cpu wise. He has some of the essentials already, like a monitor and case, and moderately not crappy power supply. I was hoping to get some ideas so we can build from something stable. Thanks in advance,

My computer froze yesterday, when I was trying to play a movie, so I had to manually turn it off. However when I turned it back on, My second hard drive didn't appear, nor can I find it anywhere else. I even checked the bios at the begining, it's just not reading. Is there anything I can do? I'm trying to build my own computer from scratch, and I was hoping to get some help on the best parts for what I need. My main use will to be watching anime, and downloading the same. I would like to have something that can multitask like no tomorrow as well, since I have several monitors, it'd be nice being able to run more than 1 big program at once without putting a lag on others. Also, I'm not sure what would effect this, but when I use my tv to watch anime, sometimes theres a lag on the refresh rate, making it very irritating to watch. I guess I need help from the ground up on the right tower to memory to the motherboard, even to how powerful wattage I'll need to support it all.. pretty much the best of everything to those needs. I have an Acer laptop, but did something stupid with it. I tried to put a bootleg ver of Linux on it, but can't get rid of it now T_T At first I was able to put windows back on as another partion and have it start with that at the beginning, but now it wants to start as linux only now, but I can't format it to save my life. And even when I do, some of the linux remains so it still won't work. It's not that I don't know how to use Linux, I tried to get it fast, and ended up getting a messed up copy of it. I've used them all, but the simple and basic bitTornado works for me. Also, for how long it takes really depends on how many seeds and peers your connected to. Fro example, the newest bleach episode that came out last week is around 170 right? it took me about 8 minutes. But if I wanted a older one, it would prob take around 30 min. it just depends on how many seeds you can connect too. Also, your cap is a big factor, but I don't have to worry about that XD

Such a fuss over a 5$ can of compressed air? I've used it for years, beats the hell outa an expensive compressor XD You just have to be careful and use common sense

I've used sprint before, and think it works well, I've personally never understood why you would want to put something like that in your car though.

I just got a new laptop a couple of days ago and decided to put linux on it. i used linspire (which sucks ) and i cant get it off. i can still use windows cause it has its own partion thing but i dont like it there and neither does my computer since it doesn't work worth crap. anyways, i tried to format it off and got this: C:documents and settingsvalued customer>Format c:/fs:dev/sda1 The type of file system is Fat32 The new file system is Fat32 Format is not available for devsda1 drives i'm somewhat on computers any help would be appreciated.
