15-2 advertised speeds. I usually get about 13-1.8, but I have seen others get over their advertised speeds.
Any suggestions?

are mine for 15/1.5 and i cant seem to get good speeds passed texas.... i can only pull about 13.5 meg from the tmn servers
Your speed results are better than what your advertised speeds are....? What cablenut setting are you using?

[geek]Wow, I'm a senior member.
-
you dont have to change anything the test reads the line wrong and it is not correct. make sure your computer is clean of viruses and spyware and to rule out some equipment try to directly connect the modem to your comp and try a test on www.speakeasy.net/speedtest on the nyc test and that would be most accurate for you since its so close. post the results back here and we can try tweaking it from there
sorry if i take a bit to respond cause i am a bit busy with other things and i am currently helping 3 others with there optimum connections.
My SpeakEasy results are...

Has it always been this way? Did you try one of the mirrors? Do other speed tests give similar results. Does downloading a file from Microsoft download at the same speeds?
Some of us have jobs you know and can't post all day like others can. If you want help, be more patient.
I have a job too, but I hear you. Here are my Speakeasy results which are much better.:

I just thought about this but is there a possible security issue if I open up a browser through a batch file?
-
I am looking for a program that is free, optimizes well, and helps with my connections.
Basically, I use OOL 15/2 and don't use my computer for gaming or anything. I just use the internet, Any suggestions?
-
I figured it out.
Create a batch file.
This is what you would write in notepade than save as a .bat file.
cd
"C:Program FilesMozilla Firefox 2 Beta 2firefox.exe"
"C:Program FilesCCleanerccleaner.exe" /AUTO
Then instead of clicking on the Mozilla Firefox icon, click on the batch file and it automatically opens Mozilla and then when you X out Ccleaner runs automatically.
-
That's not how I want it to work though. I want for when I close my browser it automatically cleans so that I don't have to do it manually. I currently run a program called IE Privacy Keeper that also automatically cleans up Mozilla Firefox.. That can be found here:
http://www.browsertools.net/IE-Privacy-Keeper/index.html
So basically I just want CCleaner to do the same thing because I like the program.
Is there anyone with any knowledge on how to do this?
-
...by the way..what is so unusual about this request?
-
I'm bored and my Knicks lost and I hate to have to run ccleaner once a week, month or whenever.
I just want it to be automatic that's all. Do you know how to do this?
