When I place a CD in my CD Drive it appears to start loading but the CD doesn't start. Isn't it supposed to start?
Here are my specs:
MS Windows XP SP2
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80GHz, 512MB RAM, Intel 82865GGraphics Controller
Please help?

I downloaded Stealth Browser Pro and wanted to know if it really works. Is anyone familiar with this program (it is freeware)? How can I test if it really works? It is not supposed to put anything in Cache, temp files/folders, etc.

HELP!!!
-
I did that and I think you are right. I appreciate it.
-
Funny you say that. I had 30 errors. Not every suggestion worked for me but I obviously kept the ones that did.
-
I have a DSL Modem and what I did was go to Run, CMD, cd, then typed in ipconfig /all and found my settings to be the following:
C:>ipconfig /all
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : DFCV8Z51
Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid

Then what I did was set this information up as my static ip. Should I have just left it alone?
-
I setup a static IP on my single home computer (no network). Should I have done this or should I have it setup as "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically"?
Does it matter that I don't have a home network or am I totally not making any sense. Please help.

It works pretty well. It can be downloaded below:
http://www.freewarefiles.com/program_9_102_14264.html
Note: After analyzing, click on "Details" and only leave one of the items checked and reboot. You don't want to try everything at once because you may not require everything that it suggests. There is a restore feature there also. Just something I wanted to share.

I read all of that and as a matter of fact this is where I read about TOS value and tried the 92 setting. I still don't know if it is right. In laments terms (is that spelled right...?) can you explain what this means and where I should be or how I could figure out the right TOS value (sort of like "TOS for Dummies" for me).
I thank you in advance.
-
Do I have the right TOS value? Currently at 92. I previously had it at 240 but I read that this was too high..is this true?
-
Verizon DSL 1.5 and 368 (I think?).
Sorry for late response. Have a couple of sick children.

The following is my results from the SpeedGuide.net TCP/IP Analyzer:
TCP options string = 020405ac0103030401010402
MTU = 1492
MTU is optimized for PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.
MSS = 1452
MSS is optimized for PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising your MTU value.
Default TCP Receive Window (RWIN) = 1045440
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 4 bits (scale factor of
Unscaled TCP Receive Window = 65340
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other RWIN values that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
127776 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63888 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):
Your TCP Window limits you to: 41817.6 Kbps (5227.2 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your TCP Window limits you to: 16727.04 Kbps (2090.88 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 56 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 01011100 (92)
Precedence (priority) = 010 (immediate)
Delay = 1 (low delay)
Throughput = 1 (high throughput)
Reliability = 1 (high reliability)
Cost = 0 (normal cost)
Check bit = 0 (correct, 8th checking bit must be zero)
DiffServ (RFC 2474) = No valid DiffServ equivalent. See the TCP Optimizer documentation, or RFCs 2474, 2475, 2597, 2598, 2873.
Do I have to change something here...? No valid DiffServ Equivalent?

My advertised speeds are 1.5/368 but my connection overview found in http://192.168.1.1/index.htm which is WireSpeed Data Gateway is 1792 KBits/Sec by 448 KBits/Sec. The reason I am complaining is because I used to get faster speeds.

I uninstalled anyway and also installed an existing version but nothing has changed (did not lose bookmarks). I am at a loss here...
-
I am unable to install any extension now. If i uninstall firefox then reinstall it, will I lose my bookmarks?
-
I did not install that NoScript extension though....fyi.
Also, when I click on Tools, Extensions, SwitchProxy Tool, and QuickProxy appear but I uninstalled them (including Google Web Accelerator). Do you know how I can get rid of them from that list?
-
Do you know how i check the security setting on java and fix it? This has been happening with many links/sites that I type in the address bar also.
-
I do have both of these (fasterfox AND EventID patcher) but do you know of any others...?
By the way, when I click on the link this link in firefox http://www.lvllord.de/?lang=en&url=tools&PHPSESSID=3073cb03d1c950fd2de71f7529154fa2
a blank page opens...
but
when I open the site in IE it opens up fine. I have noticed this problem with several links (including this one) where I can only open it in IE. Do I need to configure firefox so that it CAN open that link?

Tune XP 1.5 optimizes you Windows XP, shows how to refresh your internet connection, and basically does everything for you that you need with regards to optimization without you having to go to Registry Editor. It really works. I just wanted to share this with you guys...
You can download from this website below..javascript:void(0);
Very Happy
