  6. Cholla, I know how to do it with XP. Its just something I got to do myself. I do have Nero. I have to put everything in order and put on a CD-RW. Then I won't have all those Word Documents taking up space. I'm neat and tidy and she is a slob. Its kind of like Oscar & Felix.

  8. dlewis23, Thanks for your help. I was just hoping it would work. Even doing it after she finishes she will have 451 floppy's on one CD-RW. Just tire of a drawer of floppy's
  9. dlewis23, I guess I should have included that in my post. It will let me do it from Documents as a finished project. She needs to keep saving on the fly. So I guess she will still need a floppy while working and when she is done I'll put it on on a CD-RW.
  10. My wife uses Word for her work. She has no problem "save as" with the floppy drive. I finally talked her into using the "DVD/CD-RW". So I went to show her how to use it and after selecting "save as" select "E drive", I get this message below.Would like to use CD/RW so we don't have so many floppy's laying around. Edit: I did check User Accounts and we a re the administrator to this account.

  12. Thanks to all who helped. Got it fixed. I guess I didn't look hard enough in Bios. Now that I got it to work with DMA this machine really flys. Cold start to Windows is about 45 seconds. :D

  14. StingRayZ, Yes I went through all the subfolders and deleted MasterIdDataChecksum and SlaveIdDataChecksum. But they just keep comming back. php, Yes they both support DMA Going to whipe clean and start over.I've got an LGA775 socket board

  17. I gone to Device Manager>IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers>properties>advanced settings on both Primary and Secondary IDE. When I try to change from PIO to DMA it won't change.Any help will be appreciated. Edit: Also uninstalled all drivers but still didn't work
