what do u mean that ur connection to ur modem is 1472kbps? the connection from ur PC to ur DSL Modem is only 1.5mbps? pls write back because that may be ur problem. raise up the speed to the max it could go a usual connection from PC to DSL Modem is 100mbps, go to ur modem settings by this link: http://168.192.0.1 try checking ur status up on that, give us the 411 on ur settings

OK you should check what ur max bandwidth is on your modem. like can it take in over 1.5mbps? maybe that is your problem unless it automatically downgrades your pro to express. well cehakc that out cus my SpeedStream 5100 max intake is 1.5mbps and download is ?

Yea but I tried Ares just now people dont even let u download their music or files. It always says locally paused and no1 is letting u download. The best thing out there that will always work is Limewire Pro Limewire Pro hands down

You just need to put ur modem away from Big electrical gadgets such as speakers, monitors, tvs, anything and it will not die. SpeedStream 5100 is the best! I had a Briteport by CreAtive and it went too slow so i bought a SpeedStream 5100 and runs like a beaut! I had that same dying problem, but only that it happened to me every 15minutes.

I had tried with cablenut but only got me from 456kbps/44kbps(download speed) to 560kbps/66kbps(download speed). I tried and tried with cablenut but thats all i got so i tried this thing that lets u take control of ur whole windows XP and customize it up the ass. I just selected my adverstized speed, re-booted, re-booted modem, turned everything back and running and now i got this beautiful speed. Its called TuneUp Utilities 2006 No problem that u didnt get me in time well nice to know u were gonna help unlike the other 57 people that only viewed mine. well hope u guys use it
