  1. so testing a 100Mbps link you will need a testfile size of 100 000 / 8 = 12500 KB/s 12500 x 8 seconds = 100 000 KB = 100 MB VanBuren

  7. since i started using firefox my spyware is cut in half, also for some strange reason Firefox is faster then IE, it used to be reversed for me..... VanBuren

  12. very nice dern i wish i had 100 Mbps, i think my 10 Mbps connection peaks out and thats why no one score above 9 Mbps VanBuren
  13. yea very nice indeed too bad 2992 KB test is not accurate at that speed try again i think CA3LE fixed the problem by re-direct you to a 6 MB test if you score above 6 Mbps VanBuren

  15. i say its most likely cached, after looking at the score log from that IP what ISP service do you have? Give us a link to the ISP with that package VanBuren

  17. hey Tim what is your Cap up and down? download cablenut here https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64 install it and unzip the attached file in my first post to C:ProgramCablenut open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry now go to top left corner, click file, click load custom settings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenutvanburens_cablenut_settings_version_DSLDSLWinXP_2KMSS1460 dubbleclick on Cable & DSL 1000 256.ccs ( if that is your cap, 1000 Kbps down and 256 Kbps up ) if you have more then 1500Kbps down, then use the 1500+ files now you see some values in adjuster, click save to registry again + reboot your pc now do some speedtest and one more tweaktest VanBuren

Use Norton Ghost and make a image of the whole c: partition, and save the image on another drive the image is compressed so it wont take up much space, around 3 GB for me with a 10 GB partition. but if your HDD is completely damaged and cant run windows, you need to reinstall XP and Norton Ghost to load the image.... EDIT: you can load the image from PC dos, with floppydisc, so you wont need to reinstall XP VanBuren

  23. Reverend yea the overhead is 40 bytes, and MSS (Maximum Segment Size) changes along with MTU ( Maximum Transfer Unit ) MTU is MSS + 40 VanBuren
