those cablenut files is made for using a router with PPPoE, if you bypass router, you should use another file cos the MTU is not the same I suggest you to restore all settings to windows default and we work from that open cablenut, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry now download Dr.Tcp http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe and make sure all settings looks like this, if you see any value, use delete key and erase it, now click save and reboot your PC make a new tweaktest and speedtest without router, and with router installed VanBuren

they block ping, but 12.119.136.14 do not block ping the ping has to go all the way via all the nodes from your pc to a certain node eg 12.119.136.14 if there is a problem between 12.119.136.14 and gar1-p370.dlrtx.ip.att.net [12.123.196.97] you will loos packets and thats goin to be reported as loss to 12.119.136.14 unfortunelly, 12.123.196.97 block ping, thats why you need to call your ISP and ask cos your end seems fine, since you had no loss to C:Documents and SettingsDee Money>ping -n 100 12.118.88.9 Pinging 12.118.88.9 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 12.118.88.9: bytes=32 time=33ms those 5? I dont know what you mean but i pinged 12.119.136.14 and had no loss at all, that means that node is ok, even tho you had a 60% loss so the problem might be between 12.119.136.14 and gar1-p370.dlrtx.ip.att.net [12.123.196.97] VanBuren

you have a 47% loss to your gateway, thats not a good thing also i see a node with 4 % loss all above 2% is not acceptable try replacing your ethernet cable from your PC to modem, use a cable that you know is ok also powercycle your modem, leave it off for 30 full seconds make a new pathping and see if that helped VanBuren

you have alot of loss to 0/ 100 = 0% | 10 57ms 65/ 100 = 65% 65/ 100 = 65% 12.119.136.14 try this start-run-cmd ping -n 100 12.119.136.14 VanBuren

hey wowitsjashon and welcome to the forum set your NIC to 10 Mbps half duplex quote from http://dslnuts.com/tips_tricks.shtml "Windows 2000 or XP: to change to half-duplex: * Open Control Panel. * Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections. * Identify the icon for your cable modem connection: usually Local Area Connection. * Right-click that icon and select Properties. * Under the ethernet adapter icon, click the button Configure. * Click the tab Advanced to bring it to the front: * In the Property box, the property name to be selected varies according to model of ethernet card. Examples are: Network Link Selection, Media Type, Connection Type, Duplex Mode, or any similarly-named property which can have Values looking like Auto-Negotiation, or 10BT, or 10BaseT. * In the Value box, select a value which either (a) explicitly says half-duplex or semi-duplex, or ( at least does not say full-duplex [e.g. 10BaseT on its own is OK]. If there is a choice between 10 and 100 with half-duplex, choose the 10. Do not choose 10Base5, 10Base2, or AUI. * Click OK to exit the Adapter settings. * Click OK to exit the Connection properties. " download this attached file, unzip it and dubbleclick on it, now click save to registry and reboot go to start-run-cmd type pathping testmy.net and hit enter now wait several minutes for it to complete when done, rightclick choose all and hit enter now paste all in a new post, also post a new speedtest score use the 2992 KB test downstream and 1496 KB test upstream VanBuren
