  5. hey bwt1953 have you tryed to bypass router, changing the LAN cable between router/PC and modem? also try this command start-run-cmd pathping testmy.net VanBuren

  7. change the LAN cable between your modem and PC, also powercycle your modem, leave it off for 30 full seconds if that dosent help, call your ISP VanBuren
  8. it wont affect your speed, atleast not negative with PPPoE your MTU is 1492 and with DHCP you will get a MTU of 1500, so in theory you should be able to go faster with DHCP however, the diff in 8 byte is almost nothing and you wont notice any diff in speed VanBuren

  18. Im saying they are wrong, Sweden had fiber to homes in 1999, so they are a few years behind VanBuren
  19. hey taffyd and welcome to the forum boot your pc from Win XP cd, then you will start installation, after a while you will see a option where to install Windows, mark a partition or unallocated space, and/ or delete old partitions and make a new. To boot from cd you need to open BIOS and change boot sequence from default floppy as 1st boot media to your cdrom VanBuren
