all her anti virus programs expired from there trials for vista and she had limewire, one of the trojans was from a complete CD she downloaded haha

so im pretty sure i got the trojans, im about to run spybot S&D in safe mode along with adaware. there is now zonealarm running on this computer. seems to be running much better. speeds are steady at 600-800kbps

it seems to me i get the Best(700-1mb) in the mornings, afternoon- about 9pm i get anywhere from 100kb-600kb. but when i do the tcp opt. it only lasts for a little?? like it will run pretty fast and then go back to 500ish or so.

yeah i have ran both, cablenut and tcp Now, and i notice a difference with TCP, and nothing really with cablenut. did cablenut work for you when you had hughes?

is there anyway to find out if im close to the FAP???

there is a hill? but the satellite points up, not towards it. oh and i bypassed the router, and it ran no different, i think it ran like 226kbps. and wireless runs like 215kbps. any ideas? and i have been hitting FAP threshold alot... any ideas? the threshold is 200mb... and i dont know how the hell we keep going over it..... theres 2 laptop hooked up and thats it.

ok well im a retard and i forgot.... its raining here... haha and the rain "interferes" with the signal/speed and thats why its low.... signal strength is only at like 63%, but even on bright days, never gets passed 73%. any ideas? i was thinking about trying to move the dish a little?
