could i have downloaded a virus or sumthin? some bad registry file ? how do i check for stuff like that? i can connect but it wont surf web pages... AIM and online games work but no surfing the web...

Internet: 56K my problem is...a few weeks ago i was surfing the web and then i downloaded something from SYGate and then i got off the internet.... when i got on l8r that night it connected to the Internet but it wouldnt let me surf pages on IE or Mozilla

i have Windows XP... i have a conexant v92 56k Smart HSFi modem... and i get speeds of 24-26.4k i think i need to buy a new modem with v92 and v44 compression... when we bought a new laptop it had a 56k v92 modem and connected at 33.6k

hey is there ne way to make mozilla web browser load web pages faster? i have slow dial up so i use mozilla with the load images off i was just wondering if there is any way to make this faster... thankz

hey guys im going to post a download/upload speed test ok? yes i used the cablenut and it was the same download speed... but... i went from 24k to 26.4k when i turned off the firewall on the DUN

does ne1 know how to make my modem from turning off when its been online for 8 hrs?... i know 1 of my friends with 56k and they can stay on the inet for like 2 straight days... any help would be great

hey im at school using there T1 and it seems a little slow... 142kbps-251kbps... sometimes 384kbps any way to speed up this a little faster

kinda sucks because we live in the "sticks" 4.1 miles from town and cant get Cable or DSL... Only Sat...

nice 1.5mb on wireless? i dont care if i get 256k DSL as long as its faster than 24.0Kbps cause this crap sucks ass for downloading... my download speed is like 2.3Kb/s upload is like .6Kbps
