FASTEST UPLOAD SPEEDS ON TESTMY.NET!!!!
gotmilk replied to dirtysanchez's topic in Show off your speed
Van Buren's upload is really a lot faster than that, he's just overseas, and the upload test is not optimized for overseas. Your upload is really fast, but you'll find that several people here have uploads even faster than yours. I'm definitely not one of them. 3/256 ::::::::::.. Depends, what are your advertised speeds?

It was $100 and it's the best wireless adapter I've ever used. It does keep a constant connection at a reasonable distance.
-
This diagram took way too long to do, mostly due to my lack of experience in MS paint.

Who owns the other three houses?

It's always been stable in the past. It used to be one of the most stable connections I'd ever seen. EDIT: I've been trying to get my mom to switch to AT&T DSL and get their 6/608 service with no luck yet, but my interpretations of her reactions say "not now, but maybe later." There's hope.

Sorry for the double post, but I feel this needs its own post. I thought cleaning the cache helped, but it didn't. Here's are two tests from yesterday. 04 Jun 2006 Download 2185 1496 kB 221412130861 gotmilk conwaycorp.net F90SYC1ZU 04 Jun 2006 Download 2269 12160 kB 221412130861 gotmilk conwaycorp.net PIXR2TQNG I took these tests after playing on Xbox Connect. I was playing Halo 1, and every single game I joined was laggy, so I thought it was probably my connection, and it was. It seems like this drop in speeds is only happening once in a while, but when it happens, I experience packet loss. Back when my ISP only provided 2/128, I didn't lag that much on XBC, because it was stable. I would call my ISP, but my mom won't let me, and I don't want to ruin anything by calling while she's not home. If I did call, they probably wouldn't listen to me anyway. Here is a test from just a few minutes ago. It's OK now, but I guarantee it will go back down. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 2908 Kbps about 2.91 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 355 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2006/06/05 - 11:01am Bottom Line:: 51X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 2.88 sec Tested from a 12160 kB file and took 34.25 seconds to complete Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4 Diagnosis: Looks Great : 1.96 % faster than the average for host (conwaycorp.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-4N1RPADLQ And now even my upload speeds are lower than they've ever been. :::.. I'll keep working on it. By the way, I don't use tweaks, they make my connection slower.

I'm so frustrated with my ISP. I'm on their 3/256 package, and up until the last couple of weeks, I never got below 2995 Kbps on a speed test. Then I started getting speed tests in the mid-low 2900s. Dual T-1? Dual T-1 would be 3 Mbps with nobody else on the network. Your school has more than a dual T-1.
-
You wish you had 256, but you get tired of it after a while. I remember when my ISP upgraded me from 128 to 256 and I was really excited for about a week, then it got boring just like the 128. I assume it will be like that with any upload speed.
-
If I were you I would complain. I live in Arkansas too, by the way. Where do you live to get Comcast in Arkansas?

Here are my school's speeds, I'm really not supposed to be doing this stuff on the computer, but they'll never find out. There obviously aren't many people on the network, or the speed would be much worse. :::.. Verizon Fios Availability - Arkansas Fios is currently not available for the state of Arkansas. Since Arkansas is not within the coverage of Verizon's territory, FiOS will most likely not reach the state of Arkansas anytime in the near future. Hopefully, other internet service providers in your state will provide access to fiber optic internet connection services in the future. Since Verizon is the first to offer fiber optic internet connectivity to residential consumers, it is still new. As dark fiber (inactive fiber) networks are continually being aquire by local ISP providers, soon fiber optic internet will become a standard. Lower speeds such as DSL and Cable internet will be phased out, while fiber optic internet connections will become active across the entire nation. Although Verizon FiOS is consistently expanding to other states, Verizon FiOS may never reach Arkansas. However, there are currently many other high speed internet service providers to choose from in Arkansas. __________________________________________________________________________ "However, there are currently many other high speed internet service providers to choose from in Arkansas." What? There are? Since when?

My school's download speed the last time I checked it was in the 200-300 Kbps range. It sucks.

Pancakes!!! Pancake fanlisting: http://www.fan-tasia.com/pancakes/
-
Someone seriously needs to invent that.
-
I like pancakes too. Anyone else like pancakes? I like mine with just a little bit of buter and a whole lot of pure maple syrup, and maybe some sausage or bacon on the side.
-
Is this a decent Verizon DSL Score (3000/768) ?
gotmilk replied to ajb62787's topic in Show off your speed
Ajb, I think your scores are just fine. I don't think you will get any better on either the download or the upload. -
Are you on the 6/384 package?
-
Personally, I like the banners, but either one is cool with me.

Ahhh, I've been to Bogalusa!! I live in Conway, Arkansas and I'm NOT a redneck.

I don't have a problem with immigrants, I have a problem with illegal immigrants that don't want to abide by our laws. I'm even more frustrated about the immigrants and the whole "Spanish language" movement. Just because you're too lazy to learn English doesn't mean we should change our national language to Spanish. What a group of Americans went to live in Mexico and started trying to change the national language to English? What if a bunch of Russians moved here and tried to convert our language to Russian? My feelings exactly.

Connection type: Cable - 3000/256 Cleaned comp lately: No, but will today. Restarted modem lately: Yes, I powercycled the modem and the router about 20 mins. before the tests. Cleaned out cache: No, I'll do that right now. Can't take another test right now, I don't feel like explaining why; it would take too long.

I tested several times to make sure it wasn't just a fluke, but same results every time. Is the server at fault or is it on my side? Help? Please?
