Start the download, then click Start - Run - cmd, type ping testmy.net -n 10 and use the average for your latency... you could also just experiment with values between 150 and 300 or so for latency...

You will get much slower speeds with the DW6000. It is easier to network, but personally I don't think the slower speed is worth it... I guess it's just a personal preference though...

XP comes in 32 and 64 bit editions... the pagefile is there because most computers don't have enough memory capacity to hold everything open...
That may be, but you still have an IP address... with a good connection, people could scan the entire internet in a relatively short time (relatively. it would still take a while.) Since your IP starts with 24, you get hit sooner... just a thought...
