Swimmer: That amount of numbers is pointless, as there is nothing smaller than an bit. I prefer more exact amounts than he showed at the benchmark, but that doesn't mean I don't respect him for the hard work. The best part is that it's free! Thanks Ca3le

Win98, IE 6.0... guaranteed upload and download? Chello doesn't have those, only caps on how fast it can go 1500 down and 128 up. Edit: System specs: P3 1 ghz, 384 MB ram, 10/100 ethernet card, com21 cable modem. Need more info?

Nothing, just trying to make testmy.net look better

Very funny 3.1 kbps or 0.7 KB/sec, it a difference.
-
With or without Zone Alarm makes no difference, it stayed exactly the same... and nothing else should have an effect on my upload speed. Weird.
-
The endresults (the difference in KB/sec) were rounded to integer by most websites, while the actual difference in kbps was only 3.1 kbps, and that's much less than 0.7 KB/sec if I'm not mistaken.

This just doesn't seem right: ::: Upload Stats ::: Connection is: 24 kbps about 0 Mbps (tested with 97 KB) Upload Speed is: 3 Kb/sec Auth Code: 250361 (validate a http://www.testmy.net) Bottom Line: 0 times faster than 56K you can upload 1MB in 341 second(s) Validation Link :: https://testmy.net/cgi-bin/auth_check.cgi?num=250361&kbps=24&gen=gen&a=1.71428571428571&b=0&c=1145.14285714286 At the chello testserver I'm uploading at ~80 kbps, could the upload test be messed up? Also, I'm using ZoneAlarm.

I need more than just a good copy, I also need the approval of my dad I'm still amazed at the 400% speed boost, all I did was change one setting... Edit: The upload test seems dead...
-
Really? Just checked: While downloading it showed a speed between 250 (start) and 192 KB/s, when done it showed 182 as average...
-
Do the screenshots of the real world downloads show the average speed, or the speed in the final second? I think it would make quite a difference. Also. testmy.net KB/s speed was rounded to no decimals, rounding it to two decimals would make it more accurate and it might even get closer to the real world download speed.

::: Download Stats ::: Connection is: 1371 kbps about 1 Mbps (tested with 579 KB) Download Speed is: 167 Kb/sec Auth Code: 2020566 (validate a http://www.testmy.net) Bottom Line: 24 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 6 second(s) Validation Link :: https://testmy.net/cgi-bin/auth_check.cgi?num=2020566&kbps=1371&gen=gen&a=1.71428571428571&b=0&c=1145.14285714286 The problem: RWIN at 8192... it's now set to 37960
