  1. Here it is a Sunday night on slow ass Wildblue Download 278kbps and upload 107kbps. I guess WildBlue loves to screw ya and keep going. My son is on Hughsnet on the Spaceway 3 with the new modem and he LOVES it......SOMEONE NEEDS TO STOP WILDBLUE, THIS IS ACTUALL HIGHWAY ROBBERY....
  2. I found the Anik F2 satellite, but I could not find WildBlue 1 does it have another designation?? There are several Direct/Hugh's Internet satellites up there. It appears that I am on beam 46 on WildBlue's Anik F2, of their internet system I think in the middle Tennessee area.. Who Knows.......
  3. Does anyone know what the Satellite positions are for, Satellites used for internet access???? Wildblue and Directway/Hughes......Im still confused as to which service I need.. After all I have read in this posting it seems neither are worth a s--t !!!!
  4. Thanks for the info, they had already stated that too me. Both service techs and the call center. I think they need to be regulated. They get service free I guess sooooo... I am not under contract at all..I have done my 18 months.. Yes, if you would give me the name and # to call that would be great. Are you now on Hughsnet??? Tks much the general
  5. in response to your statement, I NEVER got a MANUAL, I did not receive any real instruction after the unit was installed, as a matter of fact the TWO installers that put my system were not fully educated in the satellite internet wiring or installation and did not know how to explain the system too me. They used CCTV coax to start with, trouble, trouble trouble until another installer came out and replaced the CCTV coax with the proper orange colored coax. But most all of the system has been replaced piece by piece. I've had so many service calls that they new me. SO
  6. I thank you for the reply. I have written to the COE at Dish about the service with a 2 week tally of my speeds. This was done about 1 yr ago. I NEVER HEARD A WORD FROM ANYONE AT DISH OR WILDBLUE since, NOT A WORD.. I am now looking at Hughs, I have NO other choice where I live. Thank you here it is 8:21pm and Im down to 487kbps download.....

  8. I understand that there will be times that the network does not work, due to weather in your location or the earth station. I pay for 1.0mbps download and 200Kbps for upload. I understand there will be times its slower but less than 1/2 the stated speed?? Thats crazy, I need the internet to do what I do for Veterans. What I don't understand that is, it was stated that the Dishnetwork/Wildblue system is overloaded buy their call center and they are still selling service???????I have been told this by their reps when I have called in. I stopped calling in because its the same stuff all the time. I am not STUPID, I understand the system when you are overloaded, than you should work to reverse the problem. Its not my problem its theirs. I am not trying to cause trouble I am just trying to get a better understanding of why and when will they correct the problem. One more question if you are a Wildblue tech, put yourself in my shoes. Would you feel good paying for Dish's Gold level and at night your down load speeds are ALWAYS below 500kbps or lower.. I could understand a drop but thats abit much. would you not say???? All is ask is would someone with Dish/Wildblue LOOK INTO THIS CONSTANT PROBLEM. Thank you
  9. :police:I thank all that have responded to my problem. I have a month long WB FAP. I have never exceeded that number. I have stopped calling WB Tech support because that always blame the computer. I keep the computer clean. I run maintenance programs daily as you recommended and it makes NO change. Yes in the mornings I can run at 1.16meg down but after 4pm or so it goes to hell. It would be nice if a Wildblue tech was online that could look into this problem for me and SO MANY others. I AM NOT GETTNG A FAIR SHAKE FOR THE MONEY I SPEND ON DISHNETWORK/WILDBLUE. It would seem to me that they really don't care. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE TO OTHERS UNLESS THEY CHANGE THEIR WAYS. A VERY SAD CUSTOMER
  10. I am still confused as to why some have NO problem with Dish/WildBlue as the IPS. I would like to as a followup to a prior question" whats wrong with the speeds"?? Daytime speeds run from 1.0meg down and 120kbps upload, after 4pm they usually tank to as little as 85kbps down .04kbps upload. as a norm at this time 350kbps-550kbps download and .08- 80kbps upload. There have been times that Testmy.net was not able to test, so I used another site and it never tested either. I have the middle package from Dish, SO WHATS UP WILDBLUE can you help me..Please
  11. :angry:I have the exact problem, between the same hours. The Call center states in a basic statement says SO, thats the way it is. If I could ditch the WB dish I would put it in the S__T bucket. I AM VERY DISSATISFIED WITH WILDBLUE AND DISH. I SOMETIMES WOULD GET BETTER SERVICE ON DIALUP AT TIMES. I AM A VETERAN AND VERY PROUD TO HAVE SERVED WORLDWIDE, LIFE ON THE LINE IN VIETNAM, I GOT INJURED AND I WOULD DO IT ALL AGAIN TO KEEP THIS GREAT COUNTRY FREE IF I WERE CALLED BACK TO DUTY.   13. I have completed all the recommendations, I still am having quite different readings today. I am attempting to do a download/upload test .34meg,upload .08meg download. I can test to another test site and I have a 1043ping, 1.03meg download, and .09meg unload. Don't know what to do or say about this. I have had not problem with testmy.net till Sunday evening. general
  14. Whats the problem with testmy.net testing to wildblue????????? : I got one poor test off this morning but unable to test since then.. I have been able to test with another site no problem.. Is there and issue today??
  15. What is Dishnetwork and Wildblues problem with the internet service. From 3pm till 10pm or later I can not get but .15 -.48megabit download and a .03megabit on upload.. The ping runs from 980ms to as much as 2870ms. WHAT IS THEIR PROBLEM. Does anyone including Dishnetwork know..I pay for 1meg of service and as a rule 80% of the time I never come close. PLEASE HELP... Is Hugsnet better??
