that's not fair then, because i only get the charter 3000/256 deal, but every now and then, I get a burst of about 4.1 or so! eventually it'll always be that high.

I'm just messing with you...i certainly understand. as yo probably know, i am now using my media center, and I absolutely LOVE it! the HT procesor is essential...I haven't had one slowdown yet...and that's while I am streaming video, analysing a cd, watching live TV (yes, on my computer), etc, etc... have a great day indestructable

thank you lots, but before I installed Norton, i was getting constant 2.9-3.4MBPs speeds. It may just me my Win 98se machine! it's ok...in a couple of days or so I will have a brand new, just out of the box Hewlett Packard 1170m Media Center pc...great piece of machinery! 512 DDR ram...pentium 4 ht 3.0 ghz processor...200 gb HDD...etc. :D :D :) :cool: later indestructable
