to fix the fan your going to have to open the power supply up, the first ting you must do before you open it is unplig the computer and puch the powerbutton on the computer once, this will drain any eletricity out of the power supply. once you open it make sure that there is nothing cought in the fan like a glob of dust. if there is nothing blocking it then take the fan out and splice the ends of the wires. your eather going to need another computer or 12v battery. if you have a laptop battery that will work. but another computer will do it the best, you are going to have to plug the red splice from the fan wire into the yellow wire of a pc connector, and the black into the black part of the connector. like te picture below. if none of these steps don't work or you just don't want to do them, then you could just go buy a new fan, or get a new powersupply.

I learned in a truck like that too.

wingzero2309 just jump in and drive, as long as you push the clutch when your shifting you can't hurt it. if you get nervous or feel like your going to break something then just pop it into 3rd and just drive. you will never learn how to drive a stick , by reading. it takes experience. and rember always shift before you get into the red. but in everyday driving its best to shift at around 3-5k depending on the car.

Nvidia has been doing something very close to that, for a few years now, that's why there GPU's have so many transistors.

no it shouldnt have happened, i called antec and they are going to send me a new power supply one of these http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=28550 that connector was connected to the special 6pin nvidia connector along with another 12v connector, but the second connector is fine. it was just that little 6in section.
-
I know antec, they make the best power supplys its just odd why the did not put a switch in it to turn it off then a short happens. I can still use the powersupply, nothing shorted in side it,ive opened ad checked it. and did a wattage test on it and took it to 700 watts with no problem. i think there was too much current flowing through the thin wires. 20 amps mught bee a little too much.
-
thanks guys, richcornucopia this will probally suprise you it was a antec neo power 480. I was very Lucky it did not arc to something else. but it is still a big loss, a $800 loss.

I was using my computer and i smelled smoke, i look over to my left at my computer and it is filled up with smoke, i run unplug it as quick as i can, i open up the case and see this Click to make the pictures bigger my power supply should have shut off but it did't because some one did not put a auto shut off when there is a short. because of this i lost my video card. but at least i had a BFG crad, so they are going to ship me a knew one. the short melted the wire and the video card power connector.

most wount support it but there are a few, bellsouth does support it, and i know netzero/juno supports it. i did it with 4 modems on netzero, and did the same thing you did swimmer had a host computer that would stay on all the time. i was getting about 190-210kbps on 4 modems.
-
TimPawlak if you wanted you could get a cheap second line installed in your house, then put 2 modems in your computer, and do modem bonding, and double your speed.
-
it will be more then sufficent for that. you could run a game server with that webserver, or 2

i2d | ScruFFy | go with the Celeron D it is faster then the sempron in most tests, and the ones that it is not faster in it only looses by a few points. and if you can spend a little more get the celeron D 351 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819116225 it is much faster then the one your locking at, and the sempron that Planatoid posted can't touch that processor. in any app. + it has 64bit now other wise all that stuff you got will work, and it will be very fast.

be carefull he might be a acammer, i put up a IBM thinkpad T30 about a week ago, with the a buy it now, and some guy bought it in france, but he wanted me to ship it nigeria. when you do the buy it now you need to add the buyer requirements to your listing. If he already paid you for the item, you need to email him and tell him is going to me more for shipping. shipping so sweden from florida cost me $67 UPS for a 7lb item.

its easy to share dial up. you will have to go through the pc that has the modem. and use a crossover cable from that pc to the next pc. when you right click on the dialup connection in the network connections page. click properties and go to the advance tab, there will be a option in there for sharing the internet connection.

not in all apps, but it some of them, there and on some other sites, it is well beyond the 10% margin. the problem with the tests on tomshardware is there using a old socket 754 3200+. they should have used a a 3700+ or 4000+ with the newer insertions. to get better results. in some of these tests the CPU is becoming the bottleneck.

here is some benchmarks. I have to say that this card is fast, very fast. 3Dmark 03: http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/02/02/nvidia_7800gs_confirms_agp_aint_dead_yet/page5.html 3Dmark 05: http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/02/02/nvidia_7800gs_confirms_agp_aint_dead_yet/page6.html Doom3: http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/02/02/nvidia_7800gs_confirms_agp_aint_dead_yet/page8.html HL2: http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/02/02/nvidia_7800gs_confirms_agp_aint_dead_yet/page9.html F.E.A.R: http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/02/02/nvidia_7800gs_confirms_agp_aint_dead_yet/page11.html In some tests it is actually faster then a 7800GT
-
were did you see $400, ive seen 299-350 that is less then the average 7800GT and you get 8GB more memory bandwidth. and faster memory.
