Not to worry, as I'm sure Time Warner will upgrade your area soon. Why? Simply put ..... Verizon FIOS (Time Warner won't let Verizon steal their customers because of the lack of speeds and high prices). So Time Warner WILL upgrade, unless they like losing customers to Verizon -

Yes, both services are increased. A friend a few blocks away have basic roadrunner and her speeds were increased from 6MB to 10MB I think. 15down/1up Premiuim 10down/1up Basic (I think, as I cant confirm it yet) -
For those that are currently subscribed to RoadRunner Broadband in New York (Im in Syracuse New York), TimeWarner has INCREASED the speeds once again. I Have Premium service. Just spoke with a Online Rep. Upload is 1024 Kilobits Per Second and Download is 15360 Kilobits Per Second. from Upload:512 Kilobits | Download 8000 Kilobits This is for the Premium service and the Standard service. Reboot your modems.

Very simple.. When you insert the WinXp CD and boot to it.. a menu will eventually appear that asks you to Format NTFS Quick Format NTFS Full Leave it as is. Not sure what the exact wording is.. Just select Format NTFS (not quick)and the drive will be erased and a fresh Partition as well.

I have 8000/512 Cable ( 950kB/secDL / 60kB/secUL ) From what I've read, a T3 is around 6000 and a T1 is 3000. So, Im guessing that my 8000 is way faster than a T1 or T3

Go to https://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php and download "TCP Optimizer" This will help ALOT. I use http://www.broadbandreports.com/tweaks to have my settings "Tested" for maximum efficiency. I have Road Runner Premium ( 8MB/512Kb) and I get .. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 7422 Kbps about 7.4 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 906 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Wed Jul 27 13:35:35 EDT 2005 Bottom Line:: 133X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.13 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 85.6 % faster than the average for host (rr.com) Good luck with the tweaking -

Start Button, Settings,Control Panel,System,Device Manager.. at the top of Device manager window, click "view" then select "resources by type" Look for your ethernet controller IRQ number. Once you locate the IRQ, click start button, select "run" then type the word
