No it doesn't... the FX-57 has architectural differences, and it also has 1 MB L2 cache, whereas the Venice core has only 512 KB.

Simple, buy an AMD Semperon 3100+ and upgrade from your existing Pentium 4, and Overclock the sh*t out of it.

My Machine is ready to take on Vista... I've installed Beta 2, and it runs smoothly. The visual styles are great (transparent!!!!). I don't know about you guys, but 1 GB of RAM will become the "Recommended", instead of 512 MB. And 2 GB will be "gamers' choice".

Really? I know that BFG is king-sh*t, but I was unaware that evga were so awful. Thanks for the info.

Don't listen to him, he's just being biased.

BFG sucks at overclocking. Me and my friend's 6800 GT's never got past 1050 MHz on the memory without heavy artifacting, and others with other manufacturers, however, got to 415/1100 with no problems at all. So i'd say stick with the facts, instead of listening to some biased kid.

eVGA, XFX, Gainward, MSI are examples of good manufacturers. Gainward's warranty is very wide, so even if you break your card by overclocking, you can still RMA it, and they'd send you a new one free with no charge. But Gainward is only available in Europe.

I'm currently using a GeForce 7800 GTX from MSI, and I have it at 526/1440 when using a large fan, and 519/1420 for regular usage and gaming.

Really nice...

No, you weren't listening. It's already out of production. The last production line was the GeForce 6 series, and now the cards of the 6 series (AGP ones) are already out of production. That means, once they all sell, they're gone.

Admit it. AGP is extinct. So be it.

One thing to add on: Just because the card has 256 MB of RAM, you must consider that the SPEED of the RAM AND/OR the GPU core *may* be slower.

Ex: a GeForce 6600NU has 256 MB of RAM (usually), BUT it has DDR1 RAM. A GeFroce 6600 GT uses GDDR3 RAM, even though it has LESS (128 MB). I would still go with the GDDR3 one, just because its faster.
