VanBuren Posted December 10, 2004 CID Share Posted December 10, 2004 I dont think you will go much faster then this, perhaps you can get some more burst if you change TcpWindowsize from 128480 to 256960 but it wont go any faster. VanBuren Posted December 10, 2004 CID Share Posted December 10, 2004 When u get more burst' date=' is that good or it dosnt make a difference?[/quote'] Burst is a good thing if you like to get nice speedtest scores, The real speed you have only shows with the 12 MB test. https://testmy.net/d_load.php?ni=1&tt=1&s=12160&st=st&ta=&top=&align=center& If you use too large RWIN you will go even slower on bad routed sites, cos when you get packetloss, the loss get bigger with larger RWIN. Also browsing can be slower with too high RWIN. VanBuren

DJVageli Posted December 10, 2004 CID Share Posted December 10, 2004 The only thing I dont understand is that TWC upgraded only its downstream and not the upsream as well. Is it bad to have a high to low ratio when it comes to that, like very high downstream and very low upstream? Just curious

VanBuren Posted December 10, 2004 CID Share Posted December 10, 2004 How do people do that when they get those fake results' date=' I wanna try it also [/quote'] Its not really fake, but the test is not accurate at that speed and testfile size. Testmy.net is the most accurate i have seen cos its using 3 MB testfile, alot of other speedtest sites using 0.5 - 1.5 MB testfiles and that give a very inaccurate score. Also CA3LE has a rule built in the 2992KB test, if you score above 7 Mbps your forward to 12 MB test and thats very good. In my opinion i would lower that from 7000 to 5000, what do you think CA3LE?
