RAINMAKA Posted January 22, 2006 CID Share Posted January 22, 2006 perhaps its cached i dont know how to tell if it is. what is your advertised and what do u normally get for speeds?
pepsidruid Posted January 22, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 22, 2006 i started with 3 mb but they were going to bump it up to 5mb because i asked them to. They said that we don't normally get 5mb where i am but they were going to work on it. I do use tcpOptimizer but this time i used TuneUp Utilities to adjust the internet Tcp's
amc11890 Posted January 22, 2006 CID Share Posted January 22, 2006 If that was cached the result would be alot higher. one way to test your real speeds is to download a large file from microsoft and see wat speeds u get their

RAINMAKA Posted January 22, 2006 CID Share Posted January 22, 2006 how exactly do u tell if a speed result is cached? is it just an test that shows are ridiculous speed?
FGOKURULES Posted January 23, 2006 CID Share Posted January 23, 2006 Well, if you just took the test and press the back button,, of course th file you downloaded is still in Your TEMP INTERNET FOLDER,, and should load as quick as your harddrive can get it.... Thus giving you a spoofed speed... Emtpy Interent Folder, retake test and get your real speed!!!!
