richcornucopia Posted February 4, 2006 CID Share Posted February 4, 2006 Well my current antivirus just expired so I'm looking to buy something new for 2 computers. If I buy one license for an internet security bundle can I use it on both of my computers or must I purchase 2 licenses? What do you guys recommend for best protection and best price? starman Posted February 7, 2006 CID Share Posted February 7, 2006 I have used McAfee VirusScan 2004, 2005, and 2006 and they all have worked well for me. You can download a 3-computer version of VirusScan from McAfee.com for $69.99 after rebate, or you can download the 3-computer version of Internet Security Suite for $99.99, which includes anti-spyware, firewall, and privacy service along with the anti-virus. I don't use Internet Security Suite because I don't need the extra programs.

php Posted February 7, 2006 CID Share Posted February 7, 2006 Why not use Avast or AVG? Both are free...
richcornucopia Posted February 7, 2006 Author CID Share Posted February 7, 2006 Yes both are great but neither off a firewall solution too and now that my favorite sygate is in the hands of symantec it will be going down the drain so i want some imput on a good all in one internet security product to get for a few computers. JaneDoe Posted February 7, 2006 CID Share Posted February 7, 2006 McAfee really made my dl speeds sluggish and I always had to disable most of the features in norton's security suite to get a reading from the dl speed test. I would also recommend Kaspersky. I still get great speeds with this one and haven't had anything slip through with it or AVG free edition for that matter....Knock on wood : )
