jibril Posted April 7, 2006 CID Share Posted April 7, 2006 I am new to the Houston (more specifically) the Sugarland area. And I am searching for the fastest broadband ISP money can buy. I'm not looking into business classes (T1's and such...) just your typical premium cable/DSL service. I am willing to spend $100/mo give or take for my service Currently I have roadrunner premium to hold me over, and frankly on the 8Mbit service, I am barely pushing 4... so is it my config or does rr just suck because of high metropolitan area bandwidth usage? thanks for all your help

j3grizz Posted April 8, 2006 CID Share Posted April 8, 2006 I wish I just had that speed. We are only able to get the 1.5/384 package!! I do get around 2.0Mbps consistantly with tweaks though.
FallowEarth Posted April 8, 2006 CID Share Posted April 8, 2006 Jibril you should have no problems getting that up near 8 Mbps. Check out the link that j3grizz posted above, and let us know if you have any questions. I'm sure you will be much more satisfied when you are getting your advertised speeds.
