You know that if you are really uncapping a modem, that there is jail time involved, and that your ISP will find out before you know it.

We you at least don't want to publically talk about doing something like that... because if your ISP searched on the internet trying to find poeple talking about uncapping (or someone read your post and told your ISP) and were to get the authorities involed that agency could subpena the information in my forums... and I would be forced to give them your IP address and then it could get ugly for you. So if you were thinking about doing something like that, don't talk about it publically, that stuff does happen.. trust me.. I used to work for a Cable Provider.

hm , 11166 Kbps about 11.17 Mbps i would think if i was going to risk jail time over uncapping a modem it would be faster than that. I also believe if you are doing this its not "if" they catch you its "when" they catch you.

Maybe it is not as uncapped as you think.

With that kind of D/L you ought to using a larger file to test with anyway. I don't properly test on the 2992 test myself. And I only have a 700/128. You should be using a file test that big probably.

You have to remember i can only get so much bandwith on my node cuase it is shared with everyone else in my town, but 11mb is better than 5mb.
