Crazy Naru Posted May 13, 2006 CID Share Posted May 13, 2006 idk why but you aren't the only one If your speed is what it should be you shouldn't worry about that
organ_shifter Posted May 13, 2006 CID Share Posted May 13, 2006 Yeah, I have (comcast.net) displayed as well. Not sure why yours says (64.231), but your speed seem to be accurate. I don't know if this matters or not, but: What browser are you testing through? Are you behind a firewall/router? :::.. Crazy Naru Posted May 13, 2006 CID Share Posted May 13, 2006 My guess is that where he lives he isn't near a Comcas line...so maybe Comcas made a hub using a different line (calling it 64.231) that connects to the comcas line
Drakrum Posted May 14, 2006 Author CID Share Posted May 14, 2006 I'm using IE7 B2. When I do a reverse lookup of my DHCP server, I get 2 hits. One being in West Virginia and the other in Florida. The only cable I know of that we have here is Charter and Adelphia. Comcast doesnt even have a building here in Dothan, atleast thats what the tech said. Swimmer Posted May 14, 2006 CID Share Posted May 14, 2006 did you just get comcast? if there are a bunch of numbers instead of a ISP name.. it means that that IP just came online.. So it has yet to be registered..
