MYRIAGON Posted May 20, 2006 CID Share Posted May 20, 2006 With the PC off, try holding down the key you enter the BIOS with (DELETE ?) and turn the PC on at the same time, and keep holding the key down. If that doesn't work try re-flashing the BIOS if you can boot to a floppy. Some newer MB's you can flash from Windows.
dlewis23 Posted May 20, 2006 CID Share Posted May 20, 2006 x_6985381 make sure you are using the right key. try delete as well as F2, F1 and F10. if that does not work Flash your Bios. If you can.
ROM-DOS Posted May 20, 2006 CID Share Posted May 20, 2006 x_6985381 ~ did you just replace any hardware in your PC? make sure everything is seated right and all your connectors are secure. Try shorting or resetting the CMOS before flashing your BIOS, first. Does it boot to Windows at all?
organ_shifter Posted May 20, 2006 CID Share Posted May 20, 2006 Who is the manufacturer of you system? Is it pre-built or custom?
cholla Posted May 20, 2006 CID Share Posted May 20, 2006 x_6985381 ;F1 is the key for my BIOS on the manufacturer screen during boot.I can also get into BIOS by holding Ctrl key as it cold boots .This gives a "keyboard error"message & then it gives me the option of going to BIOS.The admistrator password for my motherboard not Windows gives full access or the user password gives limited access.
