Swimmer Posted June 3, 2006 CID Share Posted June 3, 2006 I think it is funny.. i thought sweden was a one of the countries that allows P2P hosts? Not a huge deal.. they will buy new equipment and set up shop in a new country.. Show how long the American RIAA/MPAA arm really is. BTW.. they also track legal torrents.. resopalrabotnick Posted June 3, 2006 CID Share Posted June 3, 2006 fine. but the fact that they do track legal torrents doesn't mean they can't be punished (i say hang, draw and quarter 'em) for promoting theft with the tracking of illegal torrents. brock01 Posted June 3, 2006 CID Share Posted June 3, 2006 illegal torrents ftw fine. but the fact that they do track legal torrents doesn't mean they can't be punished (i say hang, draw and quarter 'em) for promoting theft with the tracking of illegal torrents. Na they just supply the servers to host trackers on, people upload them. They should punsish the people that upload, but that is too hard of work and the RIAA cant get anything outta it so they go for TPB. Fuck em. resopalrabotnick Posted June 3, 2006 CID Share Posted June 3, 2006 fuck who? tpb? they collect donations and allow links to illegal content. that's good enough to convict em. if they use the excuse "but we can't be held responsible for the content that members pot" then they have to filter content before it is published. resopalrabotnick Posted June 3, 2006 CID Share Posted June 3, 2006 then hand them over to the riaa or mpaa. they can fit them with concrete overshoes and sell the sinking of the piratebay scum as a snuff film.
Shug7272 Posted June 4, 2006 CID Share Posted June 4, 2006 Cant hold them responsable for what the people upload. Thats like holding gun companies responsible for murders. If they want to prosecute the people trading illegal content fine.. go for it. Wanna prosecute the people uploading the torrents (that would make more since) go for it. Don't punish the people who allow people to upload content to their server. Don't punish CA3LE if someone comes on this message board and says "Overthrow the US Government." Don't punish youtube.com if someone uploads a vid of their naked girlfriend who is 17 and youtube.com has no idea. Screw the RIAA watch me cry for them and their millionaire actors, directors, producers, effects companies etc. etc. And yea I know thats not the point, but if the actors scraped by to provide for their families like me, then Id feel bad for their movies being pirated, but they dont they instead have personal airports at their homes with private jets because they want to charge me 20 bucks to see a movie and 25 to own the dvd.. but MEH I don't feel bad for em. I love it when you get ralled up Resop.
resopalrabotnick Posted June 4, 2006 CID Share Posted June 4, 2006 that's riled up. and your gun company analogy sucks. the gun companies do not offer facilities to commit murders. the pirate bay offeres facilities to link to copyrighted material and flaunts the fact that they are promoting theft. they even do so in their name. and yes, of course there are millionaire actors and artists out there that in some cases are millionaires only because the people don't feel bad about paying for the mindless drivel they produce. there are also plenty of small time actors and artists that are just squeaking by. just watch the credits on a porn movie. how much do you think "2nd girl with cum in hair" got paid, hm? not to mention all the extras, technicians, wardrobe designers, grips, roadies and others that go into making the big hollywood productions and music albums. yes, the focus is on the rich. conveniently so, since one can then steal with a clean conscience. but there /is/ an industry behind the whole thing that lives off it. plenty of those people probably get paid less than you. asubaseball727 Posted June 6, 2006 CID Share Posted June 6, 2006 Yahoo.com had a "recent search:file sharing" with a picture of thepiratebay logo on their home page. This whole thing is spreading their site even more.

Yea but most gun shops offer facilities to help you get BETTER at killing. As far as the girl with stuff in her hair... well maybe if they had better song titles theyd do better.
