The Reverend Posted January 11, 2005 CID Share Posted January 11, 2005 The following is all the info I have on this little programme, but it surely does have some 'bigtime' features ...with no hassles.
Guest wmmc Posted January 12, 2005 CID Share Posted January 12, 2005 Something to try out, been using SmartFTP, but willing to try others. Thanks.
The Reverend Posted January 12, 2005 Author CID Share Posted January 12, 2005 NP. Danny Wareham, owner of WareSoft Inc, (he wrote XP-Smoker ....www.xp-smoker.com), sent me that little thing and it's perfect for what little I use FTP. (And the price is right too)! lol... The Reverend Posted January 12, 2005 Author CID Share Posted January 12, 2005 Now you are the 2nd one to mention Flash FXP ....I never heard of it until the former post. I guess I lead a sheltered life. lol "The Rev"
RTB Posted January 12, 2005 CID Share Posted January 12, 2005 I would recommended it to ANYONE ...no matter what they are using for a "viewer." It'll blow anything else away. I hear ya, I've been using Irfanview for years now.For video files I still use Media player Classic for the extra features, but for images it plain rules. bigw Posted January 12, 2005 CID Share Posted January 12, 2005 Yup i am still a noob but what can I use a ftp program for?
The Reverend Posted January 12, 2005 Author CID Share Posted January 12, 2005 FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. Many sites offer nothing but downloading, but they use an FTP format (your browser will do it too ..or at least IE6 will), but having an FTP programme is better, and the one I posted seems to be a "hot" number! xs1 Posted January 12, 2005 CID Share Posted January 12, 2005 pretty nice, but not entirely stable when scrolling thru directories. All-in-all id still say a very easy to use ftp program for all experence types.
The Reverend Posted January 12, 2005 Author CID Share Posted January 12, 2005 Dang ....that's the first crash reported since I was given the programme ...months ago! Didn't happen to catch the memory dump on that one did you? "The Rev"

bigw Posted January 12, 2005 CID Share Posted January 12, 2005 do some of them give you problem with connecting? id keeps me from getting what i want?
The Reverend Posted January 12, 2005 Author CID Share Posted January 12, 2005 Great! I'll get into it and see if I can figure out whatz going on! TY TY TY!! "The Rev" BigW ....No, it shouldn't prevent you from obtaining anything. If it's listed (and not "broken"), it should have no problem d/l'ing it. And Yes! Alot of FTP sites will really give you a hassle when trying to connect. It is an unstable technology even though it has been around since dirt! (And there are NO standards ...so it's hard to create ONE FTP proggy that will "talk" to all FTP Servers. (Drives me nutty sometimes). heheh...
