Swimmer Posted June 22, 2006 CID Share Posted June 22, 2006 most cities sign contracts for ISP to do business.. I know it took for ever for me to get Comcast where I lived cause the damn city government didnt want to give in.. Once they did the service spread like wildfire.. If the neighbor is that close why not set up a wifi link.. offer to split the cost of the broadband, maybe even upgrade the connection.. GlocknLoad Posted June 23, 2006 CID Share Posted June 23, 2006 Verizon just got state approval to complete their Fios here, no longer have to negotiate with each municipality. I can't wait, mainly because I want to make OptOnline my bitch. The gravy train is over for them, finally.

coknuck Posted June 25, 2006 CID Share Posted June 25, 2006 I have Duke Energy formally Cinergy and they are not advertizing for BPL here yet. I live 17 miles South of Cincinnati. But when they do it will give Insightbb a run for the money. I just hope the packages are better.
