starship_troopers Posted July 18, 2006 CID Share Posted July 18, 2006 im supposed to be on the 3mbps down and the 300kbps upload. but when downloading a few classic cartoons (bugs bunny) for a friend of mine i got over 10mbps download for about 45 seconds, now no matter what i download its like 4mbps, but speed testing gives me normal results [i was also downloading some other videos at the time] so the only proof i have is this screenshot i took. it stayed at these speeds long enough to have me stare in awe at it and then hit printscreen about 4 times heres also a speed test to show my speeds are back to around normal :::.. tommie gorman Posted August 17, 2006 CID Share Posted August 17, 2006 philp don't you still have the 12160 file test coknuck gave you? http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?ni=1&tt=1&s=12160&st=st
Guest philp Posted August 17, 2006 CID Share Posted August 17, 2006 philp try this test http://uploadingit.com/speedtest/index.html I'll give that one a shot this evening. philp don't you still have the 12160 file test coknuck gave you? http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?ni=1&tt=1&s=12160&st=st I do. I usually get high scores from that one, too. I'll run that one when I get home tonight as well. It's just odd to me that I'd even get that kind of result. I can understand the 30Mbps ones if you keep hitting the back button instead of retesting, but 6 or 7 Mbps on a connection that's supposed to max out at 5 is very weird. php Posted August 17, 2006 CID Share Posted August 17, 2006 IE might be causing that... it's happened to me before.
