fikester Posted February 3, 2007 CID Share Posted February 3, 2007 I'm surprised that the wind does not seem to cause any signal problems as sensitive the dish is to movement. Even with a very solid pole mount, still plenty of flex allowed? I have seen plenty of high wind gust 60+ and still not out of adjustment. True, but around here the wind can bring plenty of snow at times and I could barely see the road at the time of posting. Now it's time to go out and use the snow blower. tommie gorman Posted February 18, 2007 CID Share Posted February 18, 2007 Are you defragging you harddrive and doing disk cleanup daily? Also are you restarting you modem each time before going on the net?
upsurfer Posted February 19, 2007 CID Share Posted February 19, 2007 I defrag about once a week. I do the rest of my cleaning about as frequently. I only restart my modem when I have trouble. Certainly not each time I get on the net. Maybe I should?!? I have another computer on my home network that the kids use. It seldom gets cleaned. When I still had my DW6000, it always ran faster then my main computer. I've taken to cleaning it completely once a week, or so. I probably should be better at cleaning.
