Question about the Belkin F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router

When I switched from dsl to cable y purchased this router in order to connect my 3 desktops via ethernet and the laptop via wireless.

Really soon noticed that all the cabled connection indicators turned orange (10mbps) instead of the usual green (100mbps).  This changes when the router is rebooted and everything works at a 100mbps but suddenly changes back to 10.  I emailed Belkin support and their response was to force the NIC speed to 10 in order to avoid this problem, what's the idea of having 10/100 ports and you can't use the max speed?

Has anyone here seen or heard about this?
