Marcin541 Posted August 19, 2006 CID Share Posted August 19, 2006 This thread is related to my other post http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-15763 Are there any ways i can cool down my laptop? I have an external cooling pad already attached, and my laptop is elevated where the air intake is. There is no room for extra fans in the laptop case. What else can I do to keep it cool? tonyswhirl Posted August 19, 2006 CID Share Posted August 19, 2006 If you have a dell - this is a great program that forces the fan to run - My latitude would be in the trash if not for this program - runs cool now http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/index.html

Marcin541 Posted August 19, 2006 Author CID Share Posted August 19, 2006 It is only hot where the processor is... my HDD temp is 43 right now I do not have any other sensors though... but it can be hot because the processor is close to the case... I wish I could do more, but thanks dlewis23 for the info.

Swimmer Posted August 20, 2006 CID Share Posted August 20, 2006 Hard drive components are made to operate at higher temperatures in some what unforgiving conditions.. You really cant compair desktop components to laptop stuff..
