L A Slim Posted September 26, 2006 CID Share Posted September 26, 2006 Advertised at 3.0/768 I'm getting 2801/500 KBPS. The download has remained the same since first signing on to DSL over a month ago however the upload has decreased from about 650 to what it is now 500. What do you think the problem is? saygoodie Posted September 26, 2006 CID Share Posted September 26, 2006 Have you checked for spyware/viruses? Also reboot the modem to see if it still happens. If that doesn't work, then it might be your ISP. (when i had verizon, a lot of people who lived near me had it and it decreased upload and download during peak hours)
tommie gorman Posted September 26, 2006 CID Share Posted September 26, 2006 Clean disk and defragment your harddrive in Start*all programs*Accessories*System Tools (in XP) "Achieve the Best Performance Out of Your Computer" is not just about spyware, normal cleaning also! http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-4257
L A Slim Posted September 26, 2006 Author CID Share Posted September 26, 2006 I'm defragging as I type this. When you say reboot does that mean just turn it off and on or does that mean unplug it from the computer?
coknuck Posted September 26, 2006 CID Share Posted September 26, 2006 Turn it off and on or just restart.
