justinlay Posted October 3, 2006 CID Share Posted October 3, 2006 I dont know how may people on here at testmy have a wireless isp. Not like Cingular Edge or Sprint Mobile Broadband. justinlay Posted October 3, 2006 Author CID Share Posted October 3, 2006 Its a pretty cool setup. its basically a big antenna with a wireless client radio(2.4GHz) inside of it. then runs through about 40-50 feet of CAT5e cable then in to a ethernet ground block which powers the client radio out side. From the ground block to my D-Link router. I used to be on DirecWay and then when i switch to this. I was like OMG i didn't have the lag, no FAP, and i can actually send a pic if i need to. I dont play much online games, but it plays games smooth

justinlay Posted October 3, 2006 Author CID Share Posted October 3, 2006 Heres some pics of my setup, theres not much to it. Where i live there isnt anything but dial-up or Hughesnet/wildblue and wireless. Out where i live Wi-Fi is growing very fast. Theres aleast 3 wireless isp's in my area that i know of! Hell you can get wireless T-1 and up for haft the cost of a landline T-1. proof of one isp in my area http://unitewireless.com/business_options.php The best of all the rain, snow, sleet, wind, clowds doent effect it. Except if the tower gets hit by lightning i loose service about a hour, but i get credit for it.
